Only 7 weeks to go!

A number of late registrations have come in – we are now close to having a full marquee for the Saturday night dinner, 300 ex and current pupils, staff, community, partners and dignitaries.

Due to the memorabilia sales being slow to come in we have extended the date until the 8^th January 2014.

Thank you to those who have returned the transport form – we can now confirm bus details.

The countdown is on for an enjoyable and exciting weekend.

We have 370 registrations – everyone who has registered has received a letter confirming the Schedule of Events and times.

Memorabilia – if you wish to purchase, the form and payment MUST be returned by December 15^th.

There will be NO sales at the Jubilee.

Transport – reminder the form must be returned by December 15^th so the size of the bus can be confirmed. Payment can be paid at the Jubilee.

Thank you to those who have sent articles, photos and memories – keep them coming in.

We received 440 Expressions of Interest.  As places are not yet full, particularly for the dinner, the Committee has decided to accept further registrations until 31^st October 2013.

All events are being held in Matapu.

A letter will be emailed/posted in November confirming the schedule of events, times, memorabilia and further information.  We will also be requesting information on any special dietary requirements.

Registration Forms and a letter from the Jubilee Committee have been emailed / posted to everyone who has returned an Expression of Interest form.

An Expression of Interest form must be completed before a registration will be accepted.

The Expression of Interest form will be taken off this site on August 31st 2013.

Articles are being collected for the 125 Year Jubilee Book. If you have any memories / photos of your time at the school or from living in the district that could be included in the book please email them to the committee by the end of September.

To date we have had 350 Expressions of Interest to attend the Jubilee. Registration forms will be sent out in July ONLY to those who have completed the Expression of Interest form.
It's not too late to register your interest.

ACCOMMODATION

• The registration form will not include accommondation, please make your own arrangements.
• During the weekend there will be caravan / campervan parking available on the school field - if required, confirmation will be needed on the registration form.

The jubilee committee have been meeting regularly. To date we have 300 Expressions of Interest for the weekend and are aiming at a cut off figure of 400. It's not too late to register to ensure you receive details and registration forms.

A proposed programme for the weekend is
Friday 7th Feb     - meet and greet evening

Saturday 8th Feb - powhiri and opening ceremony
                            - class and group photos
                            - opportunity to view historical memorabilia
                            - present school children will be taking photos/videos and interviewing
                              people that will be compiled onto a CD for purchase
                            - school Kapa Haka group will be performing
                            - Jubilee dinner / cutting the cake / dance

Sunday 9th Feb - Thanksgiving church service
                          - community BBQ lunch.

Next month, on Saturday 27th April 2013, the committee are organising a major
fundraising event - a Machinery Auction, incorporating a Car Boot sale and
Cake Auction.
